MY PRIORITIES
-
Fiscal Responsibility
I bring three decades of private sector experience in finance, strategy and technology - leading business transformation and innovation for companies large and small across our region. I will bring a focus on fiscal management, careful budgeting, and diversification so we aren’t overly reliant on property taxes to provide essential services.
-
Smart Growth
Having served on the Planning Commission, I want to continue working on issues of planning and growth over the next several years, meeting the needs of a growing, diverse community while protecting the quality of life enjoyed by local residents. To me, that means investing in the needs and character of our community today, and for future generations.
-
Thriving Local Economy
We have a wonderful and growing small business core and retail sector, but coming out of the pandemic, it is clear that our city needs to strengthen our local economy. On the Council, I am committed to applying my business experience to attract jobs and opportunity to our city, support our local small businesses, and invest in our city’s future.
-
Safe, Healthy Communities
I came to Mill Creek like many others– to raise a family and enjoy an excellent quality of life. On Council, I want to make sure that we are a welcoming and safe community for all who want to call Mill Creek home by safeguarding public safety and essential services, and making sure our parks, playfields, and open spaces are accessible to all.
ABOUT ME
Sean is the father of three adult children, and grandfather of two. He and his wife Heather, an educator who spent 15 years in the Everett School District, including 7 years teaching at Gateway Middle School, live in the Parks neighborhood.
Sean came to the Mill Creek Planning Commission and now to the City Council, with three decades of private sector experience in finance, strategy and technology - leading business transformation and innovation for companies large and small across our region. The background is a foundation for his Council focus on fiscal management and a strong local economy.
“I came to Mill Creek like many others– to raise a family and enjoy an excellent quality of life. On Council, I want to make sure that we are a welcoming, affordable, and safe community for all who want to call Mill Creek home. That means investing in quality housing that meets the needs and character of our community, safeguarding public safety and essential services, and making sure our parks, playfields, and open spaces are accessible to all. I love serving my neighbors on the Council, and look forward to the work ahead.”
